We are on our way to celebrating a year of “new realities”, so it is normal that there are people who feel exhausted or overwhelmed by so much bad news and by seeing the light at the end of the tunnel that is still far away.
It is in situations like this when you have to use optimism and, above all, technoptimism to realize how much worse this same situation could have been in the past. And, in fact, it was much worse.
So that you understand what we mean, do the mental exercise of trying to imagine what the previous pandemic was like, the so-called Spanish flu, which devastated the world's population between 1918 and 1920.
Schools, universities and academic centers around the world closed, leaving students not only without training, but also isolated and without the possibility of recovering the opportunity that learning had offered them until that terrible pandemic.
Teachers, scientists and experts from around the world were also isolated and cut off and unable to work.
Today, all of these people who are so necessary in an adverse context like the one we are experiencing, continue, thanks to technology, to work, communicate with their counterparts in other cities and countries and, ultimately, provide solutions of incalculable value.
What happens with the students?
We can't speak for others, but we can tell you How our students are experiencing this pandemic thanks to e-learning training:
