The government of Ceuta awards a contract to Mainjobs to reduce the digital and gender gap among citizens

Mainjobs, awarded a 211,220 euro project by the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Public Function for the development of a technological training program with the aim of reducing the existing digital and gender gap in Ceuta.

The purpose of this program, which will last until 2025, and will be managed through the Contracting Body of the Autonomous City of Ceuta, is train citizens in digital skills and promote the digital transformation of companies and individuals in the autonomous community. All of this will be executed with a special focus on the digital gender gap, ensuring that, of the 1,180 people who will be trained, a minimum of 50% are women.

The acquisition of digital skills is one of the needs that arise as a result of the digital evolution experienced in the society in which we live. It is because of that Programs and training like this become instruments to develop new skills and improve professionally and personally.

The project It is financed with the Next Generation EU financial instrument, a fund created to support investments, plans and reforms with the aim of achieving economic recovery in countries affected by the pandemic.

This is not the first time that Mainjobs manages projects financed with these funds, but the digital transformation program of more than 300 companies in the Ciutat Vella district of Valencia was also managed with Next Generation capital, as well as many other contracts such as the State Public Employment Service plan to reduce the digital divide in rural areas of Córdoba.
