Mainjobs, in collaboration with the Fundación Didáctica XXI, reinforces its commitment to digital inclusion through its participation in the “Plan to combat the digital divide” promoted by the Department of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
This ambitious project aims to train more than 90,000 people at risk of digital exclusion in basic digital skills before December 31, 2025, with a total investment of 22.7 million euros.
Thousands of people benefit from this pioneering programme in the fight against digital exclusion
The programme, which includes specific training services in the province of Barcelona, will benefit 26,810 people who lack access or the necessary knowledge to function in the digital dimension.
The social impact of the plan is significant, as it provides key tools that improve the quality of life and promote equal opportunities in the use of technologies. According to Councillor Roger Torrent, the main objective is for “everyone to have knowledge and access to the digital dimension to avoid situations of inequality.”
To carry out this initiative, strategic information points will be set up in the regional capitals, municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants and in each district of the city of Barcelona. These spaces will have technology and trained personnel to inform citizens and facilitate their registration in training activities.
Participation in this programme reinforces Mainjobs' leadership as a benchmark in technological training, consolidating its position as a strategic partner of the Generalitat de Catalunya in social impact projects.
The project, which will run from December 2024 to December 2025, includes the creation of a knowledge bank tailored to the needs of participants, promoting the safe use of technologies through interactive training.
This effort confirms the commitment of Mainjobs and Fundación Didáctica XXI to improving employability and equitable access to digital tools, fundamental pillars for a more inclusive future in Catalonia.
